The flying napkin of wondefulness

  • Music: Premium Jams by Phil Keaggy
Saturday night with Chelsea over... fun.

After a morning of laying down tar at the church workday, we're having Chelsea over. As I said above... fun. We got the firepit out and kindled somethin'... then we cooked hotdogs and smores. Dad sent out a weekly news-email... *cough, hacking cough* and he said we were going to have smokes after hotdogs instead of smores... funny.

After supper and desert, we had a delightful time of playing our instruments... except that the timing was way off and all that...

Oh, and about the title... we threw our napkins into the fire. And one of them, still red-hot, flew away with the smoke. It took Chelsea a looooong time to stop laughing...

Sobering Quote

This is something I just wrote for school:

"Whether you are following your heart, your idols, or God, your journey will end at the end of the road you have followed."

I so long for the whole world to know of the truth in God's word. That while we were still sinners, Christ loved us and died for us to forgive us that we might have eternal joy.

Your love has captured my gaze, oh God!
That you would die for me
For on that cross, you shed your blood
Now Lord, you've set me free!

Wednesday

Today's Wednesday as the title implies. I went To see Dr. Foster as a check up on my arm. My arm is healing correctly, so that's very good. He said that I'll probably only have my cast for about three more weeks. Once I get it off, I'll get a splint until I don't need it. Praise God everything's gone well so far!

Since I had to go to the doctor's, I'm still not done with school. I just finished supper, and I've still got to right a paragraph for composition. G'night! *yawns*

Rehearsal and finger

Yesterday was Youth Band rehearsal. I went, but I couldn't play or anything due to the cast on my arm. It was still fun, though. Sammy B. just started playing bass three days ago, and he came. He's not old enough to be in the youth band, but it's still good to come just to get the feel of how things run.

And on the way back home, I cut my finger in the car. I know... Isn't it horrible? And it was on my right hand, too! Poor Wessey...

Saturday and /realistic/ hair

Today, I made some realistic hair in a program not far above the ran of MS Paint.

Nice, eh? If you don't believe I made it entirely from a white background on the computer, I can take screenshots of the process. I even used a mouse instead of a tablet. I don't have a tablet, but I wish I did...

So we went to the nursinghome this morning to sing songs with the folks there. It was good, as usual. Lots of people asked what happened to my arm. I usually replied, "Oh, nothin'. Just broke fifteen bones in my hand..." jk...lol...
